2nd Workshop on “Revisiting Economic Security in Southeast Asia”

On 4th August, the NTS Centre, RSIS hosted the 2nd Workshop on “Revisiting Economic Security in Southeast Asia” in collaboration with the Centre on Asia and Globalisation (CAG) of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP). The workshop provided a timely opportunity to revisit the concept of regional economic security and critically analyse its implications for ASEAN’s strategies aimed at achieving a peaceful and prosperous region, amidst the in response to current challenges.
The workshop was co-chaired by Dr Denis Hew from CAG, LKYSPP and Dr Su-Hyun Lee from RSIS, NTU. Speakers included Professor Natasha Hamilton-Hart from Auckland University; Associate Professor Xianbai Ji from Renmin University; Dr Barbora Valockova and Ms Mae Chow from CAG, LKYSPP; Professor Mely Caballero-Anthony and Dr Jose Ma. Luis Montesclaros from NTS Centre; Associate Professor Zhang Miao and Mr Pang Zetao from Xiamen University; and Dr Trissia Wijaya from University of Melbourne. Discussants included Professor Khong Yuen Foong and Associate Professor, Chin-Hao Huang from CAG, LKYSPP; Assistant Professor Jaehan Park and Assistant Professor Hongzhou Zhang from RSIS, NTU; and Professor Alice Ba from the University of Delaware and Associate Professor Kei Koga from COHASS, NTU.
