Abstract
This monograph explores the impact of small arms in the states of Northeast, especially on women and the nexus between arms proliferation, drug trafficking and insurgent movements in the border areas. The research provides a brief historyof women’s networks in the Northeast state such as Manipur’s Meira Paibis and investigates whether micro-disarmament can be used to reignite passion among women’s groups and build a positive force within the Manipuri civil society that can fight small arms proliferation.
